 DramaQueen asked Minase-sensei to share her thoughts with the fans, so below is a Q/A session with sensei.Birthday: December 16th DQ: What are sensei's thoughts about having your manga printed in English? Sensei: I'm pleased that my works have transcended the language barrier and that there is now a greater opportunity for them to reach a larger audience. DQ: What inspires you to draw yaoi? Sensei: Ever since I discovered BL (Boys' Love), I have loved it. Yaoi-flavored manga and short novels have always gotten my heart racing. I suppose it's the natural flow of events for me to draw it now. DQ: Do you use live models? Sensei: I don't use any model in particular, but I prefer a sexy-beautiful form and have strived to portray my characters as such. DQ: Any other information or thoughts that sensei wants to share with your fans? Sensei: I hope you enjoy yourself while reading my manga. It would make me very happy. DQ: If you have one, can you share your favorite phrase or word with the fans? And why is it your favorite? Sensei: In Japanese, there's a saying that goes "Suki koso mono no jouzu nare." ("To enjoy is to excel," meaning if you take pleasure in what you do, you will work hard at it and eventually attain excellence.) I have been drawing ever since I was a child, and I still enjoy it now! |
